Connecting the Hardware

After soldering the USB Host Shield, the next step is to connect it to the Arduino Leonardo.

Steps​

  1. Take your soldered USB Host Shield and align it with the Arduino Leonardo.
  2. Place the shield on top of the Leonardo.
  3. Gently press down to connect the pins.
note

The pins on the left and right sides won't go in fully, but the pins in the back should go in completely. This is normal.

When properly connected, it should look like this:

  1. Connect the assembled device to your PC using a USB cable.

Now that your hardware is connected, you're ready to Install the Arduino IDE.
